I know the polls in the past couple of weeks have been showing that Obama was likely to win, but I tend to find polls very unreliable.  So, while I wasn’t all that surprised to see how the election was progressing last night, I still was in awe when they announced McCain was conceding and that Obama had won.  I thought that I wouldn’t live to see a President who was anything but an older, white male.  I still am a bit dumbfounded by the thought of it, but, at the same time, I can say that I’m so damn proud of my country right now.
