Um… Nerves?

So, I passed my exit essay!
*Happy dance*

This is the excellent news. More good news is that my math final is only 25 questions… Then again, I’m not so sure that this is a good thing. I mean, the fact that there are less questions means that each of those questions I get wrong, even more points come off. Honestly though, there’s no way that I’m failing. Math 99 has been helpful to me in reminding me of things and showing me easier ways of getting to an answer but honestly it’s not that hard! Still, I can feel my nerves getting to me…

So finals week is coming up and much as I don’t want to freak out like everyone else, I find that I am. For instance, my ASUO final is on Monday and honestly I don’t even need to go to get a B in the class. Of course, I am going to go to pull up my GPA and whatnot but nevertheless I still feel nervous about it.  It’s quite frustrating because I can’t control it and it seems to be all I can think about. This stress was certainly not something I was expecting.

On the plus side of things – because I always like to find a plus side – this time tomorrow a week from now, I will be home free. Just saying.

Val - My name is Valerie England and I am a child of summer. Born in Washington State during one of the hottest summers on record, I am the youngest of four children and the only girl. For most of my life I’ve lived in Augusta with my family and though I’ve grown to appreciate the comforts of home, I plan to spend most of my life travelling and exploring the far corners of the earth. This is my dream. During my exploration of mother earth, I plan to write gobs of novels and short stories. Ever since I can remember, I have been a writer. When I was in elementary school I made my own notebooks from reams of computer paper and filled them with the bubbling over of my imagination. I think this is the only thing you really need to know about my past, the rest is rather boring. When I turned fourteen I started dancing and immediately fell in love. After two years of dancing recreationally I started competing and became addicted to the stage. Once I graduated high school I started teaching. It’s been a wonderful experience and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m a nerd at heart, I love learning and I just can’t seem to get enough which is why I made the decision to attend university. Questions are my main form of speech, if I’m not asking them it means that I’m daydreaming or pondering over what happened in the previous night’s episode of Doctor Who (my newest nerdy obsession). To sum things up, I’m a restless writer who dreams with the best of them and plans to leave my footprints across the globe. Welcome to my journey!
