This is MY story for YOU!

After 4 long years at ASU my final steps to graduating are slowly approaching. I cant believe that in 10 months I will be done with college. When I first began my college career I was absolutely petrified, as with all new students. I did well in high school, of course I wasn’t a 4.0 student, but a 3.0 instead. I swore that when I began my college career I was going to buckle down and get “serious”. Well, I got serious in coming to class, but not going home and taking valuable time to study. I barely looked at my notes. After my first year in college my lack of studying and taking school serious finally rose to the surface. I got a letter in the mail! This letter was informing me of my low GPA and it also explained what would happen if I didn’t bring my GPA up. What a wake-up call! I knew from that day forward I had to kick it into gear or I would find myself working minimum wage jobs for the rest of my life. So, I began caring about my grades and trying to improve. In the summer of 2009 I made Dean’s List.

So, this is my story. If I could go back 4 years and re-do everything all over I would. First, I would get involved in the activites on campus. Secondly, I would  join more clubs. We are so lucky in what our school offers. We have some amazing professors and loving staff members who really care about us, believe it or not. So, after reading this I hope you see that every college student can have a rough start, but its all about pulling yourself up and turning it all around that counts. Trust me, 4 years are going to fly by and before you know it your college career will be coming to a close. Enjoy it while you can and take advantage of EVERY opportunity.

Until next time,

~Jess
