Greetings ASU students and anyone who was bored with Facebook and decided to see what was on my mind. This is the first of many blogs that I will be doing so I was trying to figure out what would be the best topic to cover…I know that it needs to be something that ALL ASU students could relate to and would not fall into the realm of “grad school”. So in order to grasp (or at least attempt to grasp) ya’lls (because I am a Southern Boy) attention, I decided that discussing upcoming academic events would be the best route. Hooray! This guy’s first post will be about studying and classes, what could be more exciting and “page turning”?!?!

I assure you, this will be relevant…

As the weather changes and the temperature drops, there seems to be a significant negative realtionship, wow here I am using “school words” in my first blog…allow me to try again. As the weather changes and it starts to get cold outside, there are many things happening. People have put away their T-shirts and soffees in exchange for jeans and hoodies. But the wardrobe changes are not the only thing of interest to mention. The late fall/early winter weather also brings about the wonderous world of MidTerm Testing. Ironic, isn’t it that once students begin to knuckle down on MidTerm studying that the teachers also decide to raise the stakes and give out more work?

Granted, I have never been a teacher and I know that they have certain criterion to fulfill and goals to achieve, but why is MidTerm time the optimal time for an increase in the work load? I just find it counterproductive, but that is just me. I do not wish for anyone who reads this to think that I am “anti-establishment” or trying to stir up discontent, I am simply stating my observations.

Hopefully you have found this entertaining, enlightening or maybe you found this lame and dull and are wondering why I am even a blogger? All of those thoughts are wonderful and I guess we can address them next time haha.
