Scrub

Ok, everyone has heard that song I Don’t Want No Scrub, if not look it up it’s pretty funny.  One of the lines talks about not wanting a guy who sitting on the passenger side trying to holler at me. Well, yesterday I had to take a moment to rethink that.  I saw this guy walking down 15th Street in a suit and tie and I highly doubt if he could be classified as a scrub.

In today’s world you have to wonder if the guy was: A) if the man was trying to save gas (there’s a shortage if you haven’t noticed) B) trying to save the world (cars give off emissions that are bad for the environment or C) maybe he was trying to get his exercise (probably not in a suit, but hey who am I to judge?)

The moral to this little story is don’t just assume people who are walking are doing so because they are a bum.

Side Note:

Be you because everyone else it taken.

Tiara - Hi, I’m Tiara Jackson. Currently I am a sophomore (1 class shy of being a junior) Public Relations Major. I’m a single mother of one and I am a student worker at ASU. I love ASU because it affords me the opportunity to go to a great school and work without neglecting my duties as a mother. The support that I have found here from faculty, staff, and most of all my fellow students have greatly exceeded any expectations I had before I started at ASU. I could have chosen a school in SC, where I live, but the location and the campus put ASU at the top of my list. I hope that my blog keeps you entertained about the ups, downs, and sideways of being a non traditional student at ASU. Happy reading.
