Many people just “don’t get” opera, which is definitely understandable. What’s so special about a bunch of people with vibrato-laden voices yelling at each other on stage for four hours? I’m a music major, and I still have my issues with opera. I do enjoy some operas, but do not get me started on the likes of Wagner’s Ring Cycle; you’ll end up walking away confused and, possibly, angry. (Note:  Don’t get me wrong; I respect Richard Wagner’s talents, as well as the story of the opera, but yeah, give me Orfeo any day . . . )

But this is beside the point! I wanted to share with you, my lovely readers (if you are out there), a video that my sister showed me tonight. It’s called “All the Great Operas in 10 Minutes”. Some mispronunciations may bug any music majors who come across this video, but it’s still entertaining. Enjoy.
