Maritess
Hey! =] My name is Maritess, I am 20 years old and in my third year at Augusta State University. I came to ASU with every intent to transfer (because ASU didn’t have my major BSN) but now that ASU is getting a BSN program… I hope to be one of the first people to graduate from ASU with a BSN. I was born in Chicago, Illinois but my family relocated to Evans, Georgia when I was about 4 years old and I’ve been here since. I love ASU because it is the perfect fit… not too big and not too small. Plus, I love how it’s growing and I feel like I get to be a major part in its growth.
I believe that college is what you make it; that with anything in life what you give is what you get. And I am trying to get the most out of everything. Currently I am Executive Secretary/Treasurer of ASU’s Student Government Association, Scholarship and Spirit Chair of Alpha Delta Pi (the newest sorority on campus), a member of the International Friendship program, Resident Assistant of the 5000 building at University Village, Mentor in the First Year Experience program, an Orientation Leader, a member of Blue Crew, and a member of Campus Outreach. I love being involved on campus and helping out in everything that I can.
I love doing things unexpectedly and pushing myself to do what others don’t believe I can accomplish. Rock climbing is one of my favorite things to do and is such a work out! I love being outdoors.
