Hi, I’m Kanisha! I’m a nineteen year old sophomore English major (with a focus on Creative Writing), and Spanish minor.

Born in Texas and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, I am the youngest of four girls. My oldest sister is 29 and stays in Missouri, while my other sisters (twins) are 22, and are currently enrolled in the Nursing program at ASU.

My mother retired from the Army in 2002 after 22 years of service.

In September 2009, I published my first book of Christian poetry and I intend to publish many more volumes in the future, as well as novels. Upon graduating from Augusta State, I hope to become a successful writer/author. I’ve been an avid blogger since middle school, and I’ve come to find that it is a valuable form of expression and self-discovery. When I’m not blogging, I’m either studying, hanging out with my amazing friends, or at an ASU basketball game. (Go Jags!)
