My name is Kaley Randolph, and I am currently enrolled at ASU as a sophomore Marketing Major with a Communications Minor. I will be transferring to Georgia Southern University in the Fall, where I am going to pursue a major in Multimedia Communications with a minor in Marketing. With my degree, I hope to become involved in either the Film or Music Industries, but would love the opportunity to bring the two together. My absolute dream is to become a Music Supervisor, which means that I would get to choose soundtracks for movies and/or TV shows! Sounds like fun, huh?
I was born in chilly Toledo, Ohio, and moved to the Atlanta area of Georgia with my family when I was seven. We hadn’t lived there for long when my dad’s work brought us to a little suburb of Savannah, Georgia called Richmond Hill. If you’ve never heard of it, you’re not alone. Richmond Hill is a sleepy little coastal town about thirty minutes from downtown Savannah. I spent the majority of my school days there, and graduated from Richmond Hill High School in 2010. Although there’s not a whole lot to do in the area, Savannah is definitely my home, and it will always hold my heart. There’s just something so peaceful about the marshes and the spanish moss in the live oak trees. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend going at least once. Contact me, and I’ll let you in on our secrets, like where to shop and where to get a fabulous lunch with a view of the river.
Outside of ASU, I’m your pretty typical college student. I study, I hang out with my friends, and I like to spend my weekends recovering from my busy weeks. I am very passionate about photography, though I’ve never taken a photography class, and I’m still not entirely sure what most camera settings do. Mostly, I just point, shoot, and hope for the best. You’ve probably seen me around campus with my little, blue Canon Powershot, sitting awkwardly on the ground in front of a tree trying to get a good angle. I’m also a total animal lover. If it has four legs and fur, I want to rescue it. I volunteer with a really great group based in Evans, Georgia called Greyhound Crossroads. They go to various dog racing tracks around the CSRA and rescue the retired greyhounds, who would likely be put to sleep otherwise. Once the dogs are off the tracks, they are fostered and adopted out to their permanent families. If you ever have the opportunity to volunteer with an organization like Greyhound Crossroad, you should. It looks good on a résumé, it’s a great way to network, and it makes you feel accomplished!
I’m super laid back and goofy, so if you ever see me on campus, feel free to say hello!
