José Lugo

What’s up guys?! My name is José Lugo. I am a tall, dark, and handsome 21 year old man, born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. I’m in my third year at Augusta State University, double-majoring in Physics and Spanish. I am a graduate of Evans High School, where there is a star in every Knight (for those of you who don’t know, that was the motto that ingeniously incorporated our mascot into our ideal of student excellence and yes, we are “Champions for life”).

I hate writing paragraphs about myself because I never know how to begin but I will continue. I enjoy long walks on the beach, cliches, ultimate Frisbee, tennis, and mt. biking. My family and friends are very important to me and yeah, they are totally awesome. I love to create opportunities to meet new people by getting involved with activities within the community which simultaneously facilitate my interests.

I am majoring in Spanish just to correct my many years of slang Spanish that I’ve been speaking, and I might go for teaching Spanish one day but that isn’t for sure yet. My main interest is science. Studying to understand how the universe works is my passion, and physics is a great base for me to begin at. Aside from studying physics for fun and self-fulfillment, getting a degree in Physics will help me in becoming what I dare to dream to be- a Volcanologist. My dream is to climb up volcanoes and study them until there are no more to study
