Its Gametime….

As this weekend draws closer and closer to gametime (and if you havent figured out what Im talking about yet, Im referring to Finals) I must ask everyone, “Are you ready?” Finals are one of the most intimidating tests that we will take each year, especially if the teacher/professor/doctor decides that cumulative is the best design for the final. I can’t speak to how other departments or professors weigh the finals, but what I do know is that we (Psychology Grad Students) can not make below a “B” in any class, lest we have to retake it…Talk about more pressure! I guess this Blog is mainly just to let everyone know that wherever you are (grade wise, department wise) that plenty of people have made it through before you and that no test is impossible. A good friend of mine once told me that, and at first thought, I was like “well no duh…” but then I finally stopped to think about how encouraging that statement truly is. Whenever ya’ll are feeling helpless or hopeless, just remember that teachers are not paid for us to fail and that passing is a very plausible outcome, if you apply yourself to the studies.

One last thought, make your study plans according to your personality. If you are a social butterfly, it is probably best to study alone so that you are not tempted to socialize at a group study session. If you are unable to make yourself focus, then maybe a group study session is best for you. And finally, if you are a social butterfly who can’t force yourself to focus….well say a good prayer and hope for the best hahaha, Im only kidding, but seriously you got to find a way to push through and study…
