Is Summer School Busting your wallet?

It definitely did mine. I’m paying summer classes out of pocket. I’ll gladly make my bill public. No harm there, right?

I’m taking ONE class this summer (Elementary Statistics). It’s 3 credit hours. We’re supposed to be paying about 120 per cr/hr. That a lot, since most schools around are about $90. Anyhow, My bill for the class alone ended up being $390.  No idea where the extra $30 came from. Inflation?

K..so lets cut to the chase. 3 cr hours is costing my almost $700, straight out of my pockets. Is there anything I can do to lessen my expenses? I don’t use public transportation and I don’t play sports. If anyone knows, please let me know!

Oh, and to add to that; The transportation fee is going up $32. I commute with my own vehicle. Unless I’m being given gas money, I don’t see this few necessary, lol..I reaaaaally hope they don’t enforce it as another mandatory fee.

Tell them you didn’t want the shuttle. I think more students need to speak up about not wanting the shuttle because it’s another unnecessary fee added to tuition. If more students knew about the shuttle having to cost us nearly $100 more a year they would have spoken up and said no. The shuttle will bring the school $640,000 a year. Do you think they are going to use all that money just for something that will rarely be used? Most of us commute.
Spread the word! No Shuttle! No More Fees!

They need to do a new survey and go to every classroom to get the real students feelings on this issue. Think about it. That money could be going to your gas for next year.
