Encounters of the Friendly Kind…

Greetings everyone,

I hope that this blog finds you all well and healthy, free from H1N1 etc. etc. I decided that with my blog tonight that I would pay hommage to those friendly faces that may get overlooked during the daily grind encountered by all us student folk. After getting out of class around 11:50 AM I thought it best to switch up my routine, forego studying and actually eat something between classes. Being the trailblazer that I am, I ventured to Allgood Hall instead of the JSAC. And it was in Allgood Hall that I had the epiphany for tonight’s blog.

ASU employs a myriad of people for the non-academic jobs that are necessary for the school to function on a day to day basis. My experience today brought to my attention that we may be taking these wonderful people for granted. I know from my own personal experience that the custodial staff in the science building is beyond polite. Every morning they greet me (and everyone else) with a friendly smile and “good morning”. It is really a great way to start the day! Let’s not forget to be polite and friendly with employees of ASU because they make sure this campus runs smoothly.

Now back to my original thought. While in Allgood hall, I went to the little food court/canteen/snackery thingie and it was in this food area where I met Ms. Cindy. While purchasing a delicious butter crossiant and a MountainDew Voltage, I found myself exchanging pleasantries with her and realized that she is the nicest person I’ve met on this campus. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful lady I suggest you made it a point to do so. She is very polite and works extremely fast, she can multitask better than anyone I know, and that includes myself, so you know she must be extraordinary. I salute you, Ms. Cindy.

Bottomline, be polite to everyone you come in contact with and make sure to visit Ms. Cindy in Allgood Hall

I am so deep and philosophical huh?
