Embarrassment
Tonight, ASU’s choir ensembles and orchestra rehearsed with Dr. Rodney Eichenberger, in preparation for our concert this Wednesday. I can tell that every person involved with choir and orchestra has worked on these pieces and such, but I have to say that tonight’s rehearsal was truly embarrassing. Wrong notes, flat notes, and poor entrances plagued the rehearsal (from the choirs and the orchestra, alike). I don’t know; I usually am not so sensitive to such things, but I think that I just feel we should have done better than we did. We were rehearsing with a conductor who is known the world over.
I guess I’m just a perfectionist. And grumpy.
