Computer Labs Courtesy

Greetings everyone,
Again I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend and good Monday thus far. Although Im a firm believer that Mondays were created to punish everyone haha anyway for tonight’s blog I thought I would address a common courtesy issue that I have noticed is being neglected. Everyone and their grandmother, and also their 4 year old cousin has a cell phone. There is no escaping this truth. The age of technology and the current arising of texting as the best means of communication is all around.

However, texting does not seem to be the best means of communication in situations where it needs to be. The computer labs on Campus SHOULD be used for academics and paper writing etc etc. I am not naive to think that we don’t all check our facebooks and ESPN Fantasy Lineups but whatever the reason for using the computer labs, we are all entitled to at least this one simple courtesy. Stay off your cell phone, or at least text people that you need to converse with. It is very distracting for those, like myself, who have been trying to write a paper and all we can hear is about someone’s party last night or how he is the biggest jerk and doesn’t deserve you. I understand that there are some times where an emergency occurs and you must answer, but if it isn’t life-altering or anything, just step out of the room and take the call…Remember to be courtesy to those around you.

Or you could just have AT&T and thus ZERO service inside buildings, which would eliminate this issue…
