Joshua
Hello all of you fellow ASUsians! My name is Joshua Medlock. I am 23 years old and a senior Music Education major with the expected graduation date being Spring ‘09 or that’s what ASU likes to think. I, on the other hand, know better. I still have a year or two left to go. I graduated from Lincoln County High School in 2003. I moved to Augusta and have been here since then.
In high school I was a member of choir and marching band. I was the first student from Lincoln County to be selected to participate in the GMEA All-State Choir. In addition to music, I also act. I’ve performed with the following ensembles: Ol’ Lincoln Towne Players, Washington-Wilkes Little Theater, Y.A.R.T. or the Young Artist Repertory Theatre company, Inc. and I was a part of ASU Opera Workshop. Due to school and work I haven’t had time to perform in plays or musicals but I’m looking forward to the spring semester in joining the ASU Opera Ensemble.
I’m hoping this blog will be an enlightenment into the life of an ASU Music major. Many people think we are weird and I must admit that we can be but I prefer the term unique. This blog will contain stories, photos, and possibly some videos, all about my experience on this campus whether it be in the Music Department or elsewhere. Just watch out because you might just be in the photos or videos!
