This is going to be one long day at work. Everyone is taking the day off, I wish I would have gotten that memo :-).. Just playing, I need to work so I can have something to do with my life and besides we only have a week and a half to go before the campus closes for the X-mas holidays. I need the extra money for school and X-mas.

Really I don’t mind working because, if I wasn’t I would be at home watching the Maury Show and Jerry Springer. I am glad that classes and finals are now over, because now my mind is at ease. I needed a break, but in a week or two I am going to be ready to start classes because of the boredom…

I can honestly say I know what it means to be tired. Now that classes are over, I work everyday for 8am to 4:30pm. Don’t get me wrong I have worked those kind of hours before, but working Monday- Friday and no days off take a toll on me.

I love my job, and its one of the most easiest job I have ever had. I worked with some great people, and we all get along . This will be going my second semester working here and I plan to stay here until I graduate.

Working here has helped me to learned to discipline myself, because I want to become I teacher in the near future. I am not the one to get up every morning at 6am, but working here has help me out a lot. When I first started working, I must admit that I over slept a couple of mornings. Now I pretty much got the hang of getting up early, but I still don’t like it…

Thank goodness, I am finally done with all of my finals exams and projects. It’s a wonderful feeling now that I don’t have to worry about I am turning this in on time, or do I have all the requirements to complete this assignment. You know it just feels good to be done with classes.

Now we can just sit back, relax, and enjoy these couple of weeks before classes start back in January. Well of course I can’t really enjoy them because I have to work, but I am not complaining at all. Because if I wasn’t working, I will be at home wishing I had something to do with my time.

But again we are finishing up with our finals so now you can exhale and relax!!!

YAY!!!!

Well it has been one rough semester, but as you can see I didn’t let that get the best of me. There were some times that I wanted to say “That maybe college is not for me.” But then I realized the kind of opportunities I would have if I went on to get my college degree.

It has always been my dream not only to have a B.S. in Earlychildhood Education, but I would like to go on and obtain my Ph.D. Sometimes we feel like the world is going to cave in on us. We must use that as our motivation to come moving…

I was always taught to follow my dreams, and be what ever I want to be. Well I have a passion for children and I want to become a teacher. Some day I am going to open up my own daycare center. I love children, and we need more teachers that would love the children, not just do their job so they can get a pay check. I believe that’s why the children act the way they do at school sometimes. You may not believe this but children can tell when the teacher is really there for them. I don’t mean let them have their way, but be loving towards the children.

P.S.

When setting your career goals choose something that you love to do. If you wake up in the morning and say “Man I don’t feel like going to work” you may need to choose another career path
