Opera workshop rehearsals have been in full swing now for a few weeks, and it’s been a ton of fun. We’re working on scenes from different broadway musicals. Everything from Spamalot to Phantom of the Opera will be included, and we’ve got a great bunch of people involved. It’s wonderful having people from outside the music department come share their talents with us. I also can’t believe how fortunate we are to have Prof. Patti Myers working at our school. She’s one of the most intuitive and intelligent people I’ve ever met. I believe our department wouldn’t be where it is without her. Call me a brown noser if you want…but I’m not enrolled in the class so technically she’s not grading me
That just how I feel.

Well… we all know its the start of the semester when we see this thing flying over our heads: 249401809-s.jpg
Alrighty then! First post time on this nifty new blog! um…I’m Graham, but you already know that. I’m a vocal music education major at ASU and can usually be found in the music major’s natural environment: the fine arts building. It’s ASU’s biggest secret that the fine arts lobby is THE most chill, laid back place on campus. Since our department is relatively small, we all know each other and we’re all kind of a family. I love it! Come bring your study stuff or your lunch and join us and you’ll see what I mean
In some of my later posts, you’ll get a glimpse of what it is to be a music major…but for now I just wanted to say hi and thanks to everyone reading and I hope you enjoy the spring. (even though its still pretty chilly…) so yea…till next post. later.
