Computer Science and a lot of Math

The major I am taking up at ASU is Computer Science and minoring in Math. Computer Science requires taking plenty of math courses. Some of the math courses I have to take is College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Cal one, two, and possibly three. I am glad that I enjoy math and do not mind taking the extra time to understand all the concepts involved with math. If students don’t like math and is struggling with it, then Computer Science is not for them. Math have always been my favorite subject for a long period of time because I can relate and analyze with most of the material that is being presented.

I am currently taking Pre-Calculus and doing very well in it. A lot of people told me Pre-Calculus is going to be hard and I better stay focused and get a lot of help. All of it is true, but I like Pre-Calculus and enjoy the way I have to analyze problems. Any class you have to stay focused and study and get help to succeed and move up to higher levels of college. In addition, I like working with the trig identities, law of sines, and working with sine, cosine, and tangent equations and graphs. Seeing the relationship is important in any situation of math and in the real world.

I have an awesome Pre-Calculus teacher. She is a person who will work closely with her students and reason with them. She understands that all of the concepts are not going to be easy, but she will show us every way  possible to show us a strategy which will work every time. In addition, she is fun to be around and makes math interesting to the point that we enjoy everyday. She is always working with us with our grades. If we are struggling or trying to reach an academic goal in her class, she will go all out of the way to make sure it is done. It is always a great day for doing math.
