The feeling of being a freshman
The feeling of being a freshman is not a surprise to me. Being a freshman is the beginning of my four-year degree. I see it as a classification level of steps to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Many people view being a freshman as freedom, or just getting away from home, but it is more involve in being a freshman. A freshman requires a lot hard work and sacrifice to succeed. It requires staying on task with everything and keeping up grades to stay on the HOPE Scholarship.
I believe being a freshman is the opportunity to explore different careers. The various classes I take will expose me to various ideas. In addition, the various classes will also prepare me for upper level classes. The main idea of being a freshman is creating a plan of action. A plan of action keeps me on track with assignments. My plan of action is to get out of school in three or four years to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
Anxiety set in at the freshman level. It is also the negative feeling that people have about school work or college in general. The only time I really have anxiety is when I make a bad grade in one of my classes. I made my first bad grade in Personal Finance. I started feeling bad and thinking negatively, but one aspect I have to realize is that I can do better if I work harder. After I learned my professors, I do real well now and I know how to study and manage my time.
