Who knew a Newton was not a fig bar?
We all jump through the hoops on the journey towards graduation one day at a time, one week at a time, one semester at a time and one class at a time. As a student returning after many years, I faced satisfying my two science classes.
I love rocks so Geology was my first science class. I knew I did not want Biology. When it came time to choose another science class, many students advised me to take Physical Science because all the athletes take it. Now is not that a slap in the face of our athletes? Well I enrolled and yes there were seven athletes in the class but it was not an easy class for me.
Who would have thought that a Newton was not a fig bar? If I remember nothing else from Physical Science I will remember that. It was all formulas and word problems concerning issues that I do not really care about. As long as gravity works, I do not care why or how fast something falls.
The point is I managed to jump through that hoop and am probably a better person for it. In college as in life, we are required to accomplish goals we would rather not.
