And now, a shameless plug…
I am about to finish up a ridiculously busy 2 weeks. Last week, I had 3 tests and 2 performances of The Vagina Monologues. Honestly, TVM went way better than I could have imagined. A lot of that had to do with the amount of hard work and effort the behind the scenes people put into it. I think as far as my ASU performances go, TVM was the most rewarding. The impact of what we were doing and raising money for didn’t hit me until after the shows when people were not only complimenting our performances, but also thanking us for doing it in the first place.
This is going to be a short post because I have to get to a rehearsal at 1 for something in the Life of the Mind lecture series, but I want to mention that the third annual Theatre Festival auditions are next Monday and Tuesday at 7pm in Washington Hall Room 242. They are cold readings, so no need to prepare. And if you aren’t interested in acting, we have plenty of opportunities to do backstage work. So even if you have zero experience but it sounds like fun (and believe me, it is), come to either night.
I’ll be back to post after work!
