My weekends was eventful to say the least. Though weekends are a break from school, I found myself working on somewhat school related activities.

Friday, I went to First Friday.  How is that related to school? Well, I was there on an assignment. The Bellringer is doing a series on First Friday sometime, so I had to take pictures. I needed to get pictures of the vendors, crowds, the segway guys, etc.

I didn’t actually find the segway guys or the vendor we have a story on. I did find people playing with fire though. Imagine rock and fire mixed in a theatrical performance. Add punk inspired costumes and you get Pyroteque. My friends and I literally watched them for half an hour. They were fantastic.

The next morning I was at ASU at eight in the morning for the Jaguar Jaunt. Yes, after staying out late getting First Friday pictures I had to not sleep in the next morning. Well, welcome to the real world.

I can’t lie, the Jaguar Jaunt was not near as exciting as First Friday. I did get some pictures I’m quite excited about though, so no complaints there.  I think my favorite is one I captured of the winner grabbing his place ticket with the timer behind him. (I don’t do sports photography, so I’m quite proud of myself).

Sunday there wasn’t anything going on, but Monday starts the school week again and the start of Pink Week.  Pink Week means photo assignments but photography is what I love, so it’s worth the lack of sleep and chaos.
